Host a Health Care Reform Community Discussion!

Sign Up Now - Discussions will be held from Dec. 15 - 31

From: NCPA e-NEWS WEEKLY
President-elect Obama would like you to take an active role in next year's health care reform initiatives.

The incoming Administration is giving you the chance to host a Health Care Community Discussion any time from Dec. 15-31. Hosting one of these discussions in your pharmacy is a great way to keep pharmacy issues in the forefront of the national health care debate. Sen. Tom Daschle, the Health & Human Services Secretary designee, will attend at least one discussion event.

You know the difficulties we face as health care providers and small business owners. Medicaid and Medicare Part D reimbursements are continually threatened; our ability to serve patients in the DME business is becoming even harder than before; and the continued abusive PBM business practices make it more difficult than ever to serve our patients.

We need a seat at the table to be at the front of the line during this debate, helping to shape new health care policy so pharmacists can continue to provide access to safe and affordable medicine for all of our patients.

To register, Click Here. Be sure to mention in the "Please Describe Your Event" section that you will host an event at your pharmacy. All materials on the event will be provided to you by the Obama Transition Health Policy Team.

When you sign up to host a Health Care Community Discussion, please also email NCPA at so we can track how many pharmacists are taking advantage of this great opportunity.

As key health care providers, pharmacists must actively participate in any national health care reform debate.  Don't sit on the sidelines and let this opportunity pass you by. Register today.
