The 2019 Southern Ohio Synod Assembly takes place on June 7-8 at the HPER Center, 250 Bill Edwards Drive, Wittenberg University, in Springfield, Ohio. Our theme for assembly is Stronger and Better Together: On the way. Our focus scripture is Luke 24:13-24. We are delighted to welcome our ELCA representative, The Rev. Elizabeth Eaton, Presiding Bishop.

Luther's Small Catechism with African Descent Reflections available now from Augsburg Fortress

In connection with the observance of the five hundredth anniversary of the Reformation events initiated by the 95 Theses, a distinguished group of African descent Lutheran theologians gathered at the offices of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) to explore and reflect on Luther’s Small Catechism.
