Media Training for New and Seasoned Professionals
The world of media is changing daily, and with shrinking resources and social media driving content you see on the evening news, gaining earned media coverage is challenging. Yet the importance of media and the value of third-party validation is only increasing. So how do you get the coverage you want for your tourism destination, while minimizing the impact of negative stories? In this comprehensive and interactive media training session, Katie Sabatino from Inspire PR Group, uses her first-hand experience as a TV news journalist to prepare you for engaging with today’s media. Following the training, you will have a better understanding of the role of media, how to identify newsworthy stories in the travel industry, how social media fits into the mix, and how to respond when a crisis occurs. Katie also will provide helpful tips on interviewing with reporters to help you stay on message. Some participants will even get to try their hand at a mock media interview to test their skills.
