Dr. Lisa Olszewski to Serve as Vice President/Director of External Affairs; Dr. Christopher Dolecki Becomes Chair

Dr. Eric DiMartino of Chesterfield has been elected by a vote of the membership to serve as the MAC’s seventh President, for a term beginning January 1, 2019, and ending December 31, 2020. As President, Dr. DiMartino will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the MAC and will be responsible for the general and active management of the business of the organization. He will also be charged with ensuring that all orders and resolutions of the MAC Board of Directors are put into effect. The President also presides over Executive Committee and general membership meetings.

Additionally, Dr. Lisa Olszewski of Chelsea was elected Vice President/Director of External Affairs for a term covering those same dates. As Vice President/Director of External Affairs, Dr. Olszewski will act as the liaison between the Executive Committee and the Government Affairs and Legal Affairs committees. She will be directly responsible to coordinate such staff and consultants as are required to carry out these important committees’ functions.

Finally, as per MAC By-Laws, immediate past president Dr. Christopher Dolecki of Lake Orion assumes the position of Chairman of the Board for the next two years. As Chairman of the Board, he will preside over MAC Board of Directors meetings and act as the liaison between the Executive Committee and the Public Relations Committee.

Director of Internal Affairs/Director of Financial Affairs

As per MAC By-Laws, the two final Executive Committee positions – Director of Internal Affairs and Director of Financial Affairs – will be determined by the MAC Board of Directors. At the first meeting of the Board in 2019, after the newly elected District Representatives assume office, the Board will elect one of their members to these positions. The two individuals so elected will continue to serve as Representative for their respective Districts.

Stay tuned to future editions of the Action Report for more information on the election of these two important leadership positions.
