Updated 2022 Blue Cross Fee Schedule, Effective Friday, July 1!

MAC Members Can Access a List of Frequently Used Codes and Their Updated Fees on the MAC Website

The new Blue Cross Blue Shield fee schedule, effective Friday, July 1, 2022, is now available. This new fee schedule applies to services provided to Traditional and TRUST PPO members, regardless of customer group.

The MAC Insurance Committee has created a useful resource of commonly used CPT codes, including codes for Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy, Evaluation & Management, Physical Medicine, and Radiology.

Overview of BCBSM Fee Changes as of 7-1-2022 (TRUST PPO and Traditional)

• The fees for 98940 is increased by 55 cents, for 98941 is increased by 79 cents, and for 98942 is increased by $1.03. The fee for 98943 increased by 19 cents.
• The fees for some common physical medicine codes increased slightly (97110, 97140, 97112, 97116, etc.). Other fees in the physical medicine subset decreased slightly.  
• Fees for most x-ray codes have increased.
• Fees for new patient E/M codes are unchanged. Fees for established patient E/M codes 99212, 99213, and 99214 increased. The code for 99211 is unchanged.
