Unplugged: Workshop with Scott Sampson & Adam Bienenstock

Holland

As part of the Unplugged Speaker Series, the ODC Network will be hosting a dynamic, hands-on workshop led by Adam Bienenstock—speaker, author, designer, educator, and leading advocate for nature play—and Scott Sampson, renowned paleontologist, PBS Dinosaur Train host, and Executive Director of the California Academy of Sciences.

This interactive session for placemaking and education leaders explores how connecting communities to nature supports health, learning, and development. Participants will engage in outdoor experiences, collaborative model-building, and practical discussions grounded in research and real-world examples. Adam and Scott will also share actionable strategies to help communities build meaningful, lasting relationships with the natural world—both in and out of educational settings.
