Prescription medications continue to be available for free or nearly free

This week the Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) celebrates its 10th anniversary of helping connect uninsured or underinsured Americans to programs that provide prescription medicines for free or nearly free. Since its launch in 2005, PPA has connected nearly 9.5 million Americans to public and private assistance programs.

The program also assists patients to locate free health care clinics in their area.

So far in 2015, about 82 percent of Ohioans who contacted the PPA, through the toll-free number at 1-888-4-PPA NOW or at the website link above, were connected to one of 475 programs that offer free or almost free medications.
