Number of students matching to psychiatry increases for the fifth year in a row
A total of 923 U.S. senior medical school students matched with a psychiatry residency in this year’s National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), up from 850 in 2016. This year’s figure is the highest number of medical students to choose psychiatry residency training programs in recent history.
