SMBO promotes video and fact sheet on acute pain rules
New rules for prescribing opioid analgesics for the treatment of ACUTE pain went into effect on August 31, 2017. These rules DO NOT apply to the use of opioids for the treatment of chronic pain.
The State Medical Board of Ohio has introduced a short video and fact sheet about the rules which are available on the Prescriber Resources section of the board’s website.
