Obituary for Robert Bruce Burke

Robert Bruce Burke ~ Beloved son of the late Robert A. Burke and the late Cecilia (nee Stuben) Burke; loving brother of Valerie (nee Burke) McQueen; dear friend of Rich and Jennie Johnson; devoted employee of Ogle & Paul R. Young Funeral Homes. 

Robert was born at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina, and, like his father before him, served his country with honor in the United States Army (1983-1989) before returning home to Cincinnati and his family. He worked for many years in technology and later pursued his calling to serve his community as a professional funeral director. He spent his last few years living and working in Oxford. Robert will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unique sense of humor, tenacity even when he was struggling, and fondness of all things Disney. He left us too soon and will be deeply missed. 

A celebration of life will be held for Robert at a later date. He will be laid to rest with his parents at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Please consider making a donation in Robert's name to the Honor Flight Network.
