Becoming a Celebrant....

A funeral Celebrant serves by providing a funeral service, memorial service, or tribute that is personalized and individualized to reflect the personality and life-style of the deceased.  A variety of people become Celebrants - funeral directors, preneed and aftercare specialists, chaplains, clergy, hospice professionals, teachers, business people, actors, writers, students - anyone who has an interest in serving families in this capacity regardless of their religious affiliation or no affiliation. A successful Celebrant is one who enjoys working with people, has writing and public speaking ability as well as listening and consulting skills.

The InSight Institute provides a unique and intense specialized training where you will have a chance to practice, discover resources and build your skills in working with families and making public presentations.  For more information about becoming a Celebrant please visit InSight Institute
