Obituary for Richard Francis Solich, Jr.

Brother of Robert Solich, Funeral Director at Busch Funeral & Crematory Services

Richard F. Solich Jr., OFS, age 63. Blessed are the peacemakers. Dearest son of the late Richard and Wilma Joanne Solich. Beloved brother of Robert, William, Tracy Kraus (Mark), and Jenifer. Loving uncle of Sarah Kraus. Cherished nephew and cousin of many. Richard proudly served the city of Brook Park for over 40 years as an animal warden and then auxiliary police officer. He was a Minister of Blessed Giles Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order. He was also very active at his church and with the Refugee Resource Center at St. Colman Church. Rich was kind and caring to thousands of animals and all of his friends and neighbors. He served the Holy Name Society for many years and was active in the Lions and volunteered at many fundraisers in his community. He would talk to anyone and remembered everyone.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Mary Queen of the Apostles Church, 6455 Engle Road, Brook Park, OH 44142 on Saturday, November 30, at 10:00AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129 on Friday, November 29, from 1-3 and 5-7PM.
