OFDA PAC KICKS OFF 2010 ANNUAL FUNDRAISING DRIVE
OFDA PAC - The key to a successful State legislative lobbying program
The Ohio Funeral Directors Association Political Action Committee (OFDA PAC) is conducting its 2010 Annual Fundraising Drive. OFDA PAC is a key component of OFDA's state legislative lobbying efforts. One of the misconceptions about OFDA PAC is that members' dues go towards funding the PAC. This is not accurate. OFDA PAC can only be successful if members make personal contributions directly to OFDA PAC.
2010 is a statewide election year with most statewide offices, including the Governor up for election. Also, all 99 Ohio House of Representative seats and 17 of the 33 Ohio Senate seats are up for election. In addition, the 2010 elections determine which party controls the State Apportionment Board, the entity that draws the Ohio Legislative district lines. Whichever party wins at least 2 of the 3 races for Governor, Secretary of State and Auditor will have a majority of the Apportionment Board members.
