Mary Alice Dunnichay

November 2, 1934 - December 4, 2024

On Wednesday afternoon, December 4, 2024, Mary Alice Dunnichay, age 90, who provided compassion and service to innumerable families in their time of need, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family who lovingly supported her transition into the welcoming arms of her ultimate caregiver. 

As with all great love stories, Mary Dunnichay’s life began with a happy childhood, a love-at-first sight encounter, a beautiful married life blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and achieving the American dream of owning a business. Mary’s worlds were as opposite as they could be, but perfectly aligned as a loving wife and homemaker and a partner in establishing two well-respected Dunnichay Funeral Homes. 

Mary is the wife of 71 years to Jerry Dunnichay; Jed and Ned Dunnichay's mother; & Jacob Dunnichay's Nana; Owners and Funeral Directors of Dunnichay Funeral Home in Elwood and Frankton.
