Fred Taylor

January 16, 1939 - March 9, 2025

Fred Allen Taylor, 86, of Rising Sun passed away March 9, 2025 at Envive Care Center, Lawrenceburg. He was born in Grant County, Kentucky on January 16, 1939, the son of Rev. Forest and Viola Taylor.

He worked at funeral homes in Bloomington, Scottsburg, Madison and English, Indiana before returning to purchase the McClure Funeral Home in 1972 and Detmer Funeral Home in 1976, combining them into Humphrey-Taylor-Detmer Funeral Home. He worked in funeral service over 50 years before retiring and closing the funeral home in 2016.
