Franchise fees posted in MITS
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) recently posted the nursing facility franchise fee to MITS for FY 2022. For all licensed beds, the rate is $13.39 per bed. For Medicaid certified beds greater than 200, the rate is $8.76. The increase in franchise permit fees are at least in part attributable to an overall decrease in beds statewide, from 86,773 in FY 2021 to 85,875 in FY 2022. Providers are encouraged to download their assessments via the MITS portal, under “correspondence.”
