Maple Knoll Communities Named 2018 Best Workplaces in Cincinnati

Maple Knoll Communities has been named a 2018 Winner of Best Workplaces in Ohio.  This is the second year in a row for this honor.  The organization is one of 50 outstanding organizations that was able to beat out hundreds of local businesses to receive this honor by Ohio Business Magazine and Cincy Magazine.

Long-time Judson Services, Inc. President and CEO Cynthia H. Dunn announced her plans to retire effective June 1, 2018.  Dunn has been with Judson for four decades, serving in various positions. She was named president and CEO of Judson, a Cleveland-based not-for-profit organization, in 1992.

Hurricane Seniors Hotline Opens: Help for Seniors in Hurricane-Impacted Regions Available

National Church Residences, in partnership with LeadingAge, has established the Hurricane Services for Seniors hotline: 844.259.HS4S (844.259.4747). This hotline is open to all seniors and their families in hurricane-impacted regions to help coordinate housing and services. The hotline is currently manned from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern time Mondays through Fridays.

Cristal Vincent was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Human Services Department of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation on July 1, 2017. Cristal has a diverse background in healthcare and has worked for the Human Services Department in the capacity of Assistant Administrator and Administrator for the past five years.

Local Healthcare Workers Honored by Alber Center

Fourteen local health care workers received their Elder Care Certificates (ECC) from the Alber Enterprise Center at Ohio State Marion on Wednesday, May 10th, in a recognition ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance of a typical graduation. These dedicated, long-term health care employees participated in a Pilot Program funded through an OSU CARES seed grant. The Alber Enterprise Center directed the program under the leadership of Anne Johnson, MS, Senior Organization Development Consultant, and facilitated by experts in the field.
