Wexner Heritage Village Expands Hospice Services with Music Therapy Grant
Wexner Heritage Village's Zusman Community Hospice has received a $25,000 grant from The Columbus Foundation to launch a new hospice music therapy program. The funding will provide year-round access to a board certified music therapist, offering approximately six to seven patient visits each week as part of individualized hospice care plans.
The new program complements the organization's existing pet therapy and aromatherapy services, supporting patients' emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being alongside traditional hospice care. Music therapy can help reduce anxiety, improve comfort, and support meaningful connections for patients and families during the end of life journey. Wexner Heritage Village estimates the program will provide more than 330 music therapy visits annually.
Congratulations to Wexner Heritage Village and the Zusman Community Hospice team on this exciting investment in compassionate end of life care.
