Vernon Family Funeral Homes is seeking a licensed Funeral Director (or Apprentice) to join our dedicated team serving Champaign, Miami, and surrounding counties with compassion and excellence.

Position:
Funeral Director/Embalmer (Apprentice or Licensed)
Location: Champaign and Miami County, Ohio
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and personalized funeral arrangements and cremation services
- Coordinate all aspects of funeral services, from first contact to post-service follow-up
- Perform embalming and preparation of deceased individuals with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with families to create meaningful, memorable ceremonies
- Manage logistics, including transportation, legal documentation, and compliance
- Maintain a supportive, team-oriented work environment
Requirements:
- Valid Funeral Director License in the State of Ohio (or Apprentice License)
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate demeanor and ability to support grieving families
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $40,000 to $95,000 per year, with opportunities for advancement within our family-owned organization.
