FDLIC names Steve Jenkins Director of Sales Development for Ohio
Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company (FDLIC) is proud to announce the addition of Mr. Steve Jenkins as Director of Sales Development for Ohio. He will be responsible for the development of FDLIC's pre-need sales program for the Ohio Funeral Directors Association (OFDA), our newest endorsed association.
"We are very pleased that Steve has joined our Company. In the relatively brief time he has been on the job, significant successes have already occurred with the enrollment of funeral homes and agents in our program," said Paul Lovelace, Vice President of Development for FDLIC. "Steve is a tireless worker who shares our Company vision of providing personal service to all of our OFDA member funeral homes," he added.
Mr. Jenkins, a resident of New Philadelphia, Ohio, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Akron in 1977. However, his early aspirations of becoming a high school social studies teacher took a detour when he was offered a summer sales job following his college graduation. "I found that I loved dealing with people," Jenkins noted. Then, after many successful years in the food distribution industry, he was approached about coordinating the pre-arrangement services for Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Homes & Crematories.
He soon discovered the pleasure of providing people with a service which is invaluable. "Pre-planning is one of the kindest legacies we can leave for our families. This is of paramount importance to me," he added.
As an active member of his community, Jenkins currently serves as an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in New Philadelphia; president of the Tuscarawas County Center for the Arts; and is former president of the New Philadelphia Board of Education. He is married, with two grown children and one grandchild.
"We are very excited that Steve joined our staff," said Kris Seale, President and Chief Executive Officer of FDLIC. "He is a man of integrity who has a real passion for what he does," he added.
"In my short time with FDLIC, I have thoroughly enjoyed traveling throughout the state of Ohio and meeting with many funeral professionals and agents. I am looking forward to what the future holds for all of us," Jenkins said.
