Cecil M. "Lee" "Butch" Lemasters

OFDA received word this morning Cecil M. "Lee" "Butch" Lemasters, 69, of Benwood, West Virginia, died Monday, September 28, 2009 at home.  Born in Bellaire, OH on March 29, 1940, Lee was the son of the late Cecil "Jake" and Evelyn Hudson Lemasters.  Mr. Lemasters was the father of OFDA member, Poul Lemasters of Rosenacker and Associates, Cincinnati.

He was a former employee of Blaw Knox Foundry and was currently the Controller for Centre Foundry in Warwood.  He was a veteran of the US Army. What Lee enjoyed most in life was his family, his work and playing golf.   

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte Tucker and Cheryl Kreiter Gockstetter.  Surviving are his wife, Joan Schneider Yurkovitch Lemasters; one son, Poul Lemasters and his wife Teresa of Cincinnati OH; one daughter, AnneMarie Volansky and her husband Joe of Masontown PA; three step daughters, Cheryl Kibert and her husband Greg of Glen Dale WV, Cathy Yurkovitch of Pataskala OH, and Lisa Yurkovitch of Sherrard WV; one step son, Brian Yurkovitch and his wife Paula of Pataskala OH; two brothers, Larry Lemasters and his wife Debbie of Bellaire OH, and James "Jimmy" Lemasters and his wife Cindy of Jacobsburg OH; six grandchildren, Kirsten Volansky, Maxwell and Chloe Lemasters, Garrett and Beth Yurkovitch, and R.J. Kibert; numerous nieces and nephews.   

Friends will be received at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 214 Marshall St. McMechen, WV on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and on Thursday from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm.   Private interment will be held at Rockhill Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Bellaire OH.
