D. Michael Wotring, 75, of WADSWORTH went home to be with the Lord, April 28, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 17, 1948 in Morgantown, West Virginia to the late Darwin C. and Blanche M. (nee Bierstedt) Wotring.
Mike spent twenty years working at Forest City Dillon, Core systems, thirteen years at Associated Estates Management Co., three years at MJR Electrical and one year at Summit Management Services before retiring. He was an active member of Valley Community Church in Clinton where he had many dear friends and the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and always wore a hat on with Air Force Pins wherever he went.
Mike loved playing golf and attending to his yard. In his younger years he enjoyed coaching his daughters in the WABL softball league. His biggest joy was watching his grandsons play in all the different sports in which they were involved. He also enjoyed volunteering out at Firestone Country Club for the golf tournament. He enjoyed spending time in his “workshop” where he had every tool of which you could think of that was not only his but what he inherited from his father and father-in law. He proudly built many decks, garages and additions on his homes and others over the years. He had a love for West Virginia, where he spent many summers on his grandparent’s farm.
Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a kind human being who made everyone feel welcome and will truly be missed by all those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger.
