Obituary for Carol J. Recker

Mother and Mother-in-Law of OFDA Members, Jim and Lisa Recker

Carol J. Recker, 77, of Lima, OH died early Friday morning, May 31, 2024 at the Providence Care Center, Sandusky.

Carol was born December 18, 1946 at the family farm just outside of Gomer, the daughter of the late Velma T. (Hunt) and Raymond Williams. She was graduate from Gomer High School.

She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. Carol worked for the former Harts Department Store and then worked at the Kewpee on Allentown Rd.

Carol was very creative and artistic. She enjoyed baking, sewing and painting ceramics. She loved Christmas, and collecting Santas.

She is survived by her son, Jim (Lisa) Recker of Port Clinton, granddaughter, Madeline Recker and grandson, Michael Recker. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, John Anthony Recker, sister, Marilyn (Albert) Robey, brothers, Paul (Lena) Davis, Fred (Shirley) Davis, Bill (Donna) Williams, Roger Williams and John Williams, stepfather, Robert Tudor, step sister, Jane Firestone and step brother, Owen Tudor.

Visitation will be 10am, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Rose Catholic Church, 523 N West Street, Lima, Ohio. Fr. David Ross will celebrate. Burial will follow in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
