House, Senate Agree on Budget Bill
Final version includes amendments involving State Medical Board and physician reporting of patient drug activity
After a joint conference committee ironed out differences between the Ohio House and Ohio Senate versions of the biennial budget bill, the final $71.2 billion budget plan was approved by both chambers. Gov. John Kasich will sign the bill by June 30, the end of the fiscal year.
There have been amendments to the legislation that involve the Ohio State Medical Board, as well as amendments regarding physician reporting of suspected drug activity. We are examining the approved bill, and we will update members once we are able to evaluate the final budget language.
