Volunteer Career Counselors Needed to Help Locally
AARP Helping Job Seekers Over 50
AARP is working with the Employment Guide to co-host a series of community career fairs across the country to help jobseekers age 50+. Included in these career fairs are brief, personal career conversations to discuss training opportunities, job search, and career development strategy. AARP is seeking volunteer career counselors or advisers at the local level that can provide this advice.
The list of cities, dates, venues are below. Note, some of the AARP state offices have already started recruiting career counselor volunteers since they have events coming up this month. So there may be some connections already made.
