Human Resources Manager

CHS Member Cooperative in Central Wisconsin

CHS Aligned Solutions is partnering with a large, production agriculture corporation to hire a Human Resources Manager in central Wisconsin, about half an hour south of Stevens Point.  This would be an ideal opportunity for someone who aspires to grow into a HR Director within the organization in their career path.
 
Position Overview:
A successful candidate will have a strong agricultural background with previous experience in Human Resources management.  This position is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the HR division and will have a direct report.
 
Position Summary:
The position involves administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing. Duties include formulating policies and procedures for the human resources department and recommending policies and practices to other members of the leadership team.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Plans organizes and controls all activities of the human resources department. Participates in developing goals, objectives and systems.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program; rewrites job descriptions and performance appraisals as required; and analyzes compensation levels.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures, including disciplinary procedures.
  • Conducts and assists in recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt personnel, conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career development program, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing; writes and places advertisements.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings including training and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Monitors and manages Unemployment Compensation program, including hiring, layoff and termination plans, disputes and information flow with the Department of Workforce Development.
  • Recommends, designs, plans and assists in the execution of Employee Development programs, including seminars, training, mentoring and on the job training efforts.
  • Communicates with leadership team regarding current projects, plans & issues.  

Qualifications:

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources management
  • Must have knowledge and background of compliance issues and developing  
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, organization and communication skills
  • A teamwork philosophy with the ability to motivate others
