OABA Awards $53,000 in Scholarships
The Ohio AgriBusiness Association recently awarded more than $53,000 in scholarships to 36 students across Ohio through the OABA Educational Trust, the George Greenleaf Agri-Industry Endowment and the OABA Endowed Scholarship Fund.

House Passes State Budget with Key Ag Provisions, Including H2Ohio Cuts and Pesticide Law Updates
The House passed the state operating budget, House Bill 96, on Wednesday, April 9 by a 60-39 vote. This bill will now go to the Senate and we will continue to monitor their progress.

Did You Know? CME Storage Rates for Wheat Can Fluctuate Based on Futures Spread Performance
The CME Group has set ‘storage rates’ for all commodities that are used to calculate financial full carry. Knowing the financial full carry compared to what the physical commodity can be sold for in the cash market is key in managing futures spread risk.

OABA Signs Letter of Support for State Issue 2 – Renewal of State Capital Improvement Program
The Ohio AgriBusiness Association recently joined more than 80 organizations in supporting State Issue 2, a ballot initiative to renew the State Capital Improvement Program. The measure will appear on the May 6 statewide ballot.
