The Na-Churs Plant Food Company was founded in 1946 in Marion, Ohio, formulating the first liquid fertilizer products available to greenhouses, nurseries and farmers for fast seedling growth in cool soils. In 1973, the Alpine Plant Foods Corporation was established in New Hamburg, Ontario, and became a leader in the liquid fertilizer business. In 1998, Na-Churs Plant Food Company acquired Alpine Plant Foods Corporation, forming Nachurs Alpine Solutions. Today, the company is the leading manufacturer of high quality liquid fertilizers in North America.

Corporate headquarters remains in Marion, Ohio, with three other locations in the United States and two in Canada. NAS continues to grow by adding products to their NACHURS® and ALPINE® lines, including the introduction of Bio-K, a potassium-based fertilizer, in 2014.

Through their membership in the Ohio AgriBusiness Association, NAS stays abreast of the latest agriculture industry trends and connects the company with other partners in agriculture. NAS is able to acquire information needed to develop new technologies and products, while staying up-to-date on the regulatory and legislative issues that affect agriculture on both the state and national levels.
