Any person,firm, or corporation doing business in Ohio is eligible to become a member of the Ohio AgriBusiness Association. Said person, firm or corporation must have an established business with facilities and equipment to conduct business, and possess all the licenses, permits, and other documents required by Ohio law.

Because the OABA Educational Trust is a 501(c)3 charitable organization, sponsorships related to the Educational Trust are separate from OABA sponsorships and require separate payment. However, a new yearly sponsorship model is also available for Educational Trust events.
|

OABA dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but may be considered deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Federal law requires OABA to provide all members with a written estimate of what portion of membership dues goes to lobbying and political expenses. Fifteen percent (15%) of annual dues revenue is utilized by OABA for lobbying and political activities. Fifteen percent (15%) of your annual dues (based on your membership level) is not considered deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. The same federal law requires OABA to give its members an estimate of 2019 political action lobbying expenses that are paid from dues. The anticipated figure for the 2019 tax year is $55,000. Members are encouraged to consult a tax professional about its tax returns and corresponding liabilities. |
