Deerfield Ag Services, Inc. is a family-owned agricultural services company with 4 locations throughout Northeast Ohio that puts relationships and expertise at the heart of its brand. Starting as a farm in 1959, the operation has grown into a full-service ag business with grain, agronomy, precision ag and grain handling and storage equipment divisions. Deerfield Ag Services needs a HR Partner to join the leadership team to help drive results and grow the business.

Overview: As the HR Director for Deerfield Ag Services, you’ll help solve complex organizational challenges, while ensuring we have the right people in the right roles. Your goal will be to help shape a culture of accountability, fairness, and excellence all the while maintaining a workplace that is fun.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Ability to build rapport with all employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Business Acumen
  • This is an autonomous position, so you must be self-sufficient and self-motivated. It is also a collaborative role, so you must be able to gracefully receive criticism and feedback about your work

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative people strategies to enable both long-term and short-term business plans.
  • Develop and execute strategies to recruit, onboard, retain, develop and compensate talent.
  • Administer payroll and benefits for approximately 65 employees
  • Accurately maintain employee files • Compliance with all local, state and federal laws
  • Administer and oversee Employee Performance Evaluation Process
  • Oversee Safety Program
  • Implement and Enable the success of Training Plans and Programs
