OABA Staffing Transitions

By: Chris Henney, OABA President and CEO

It is with mixed emotion that I share Margo Long will be leaving the OABA team effective Friday, January 6, 2017. Margo has been offered an excellent opportunity to serve as The Ohio State University 4-H Extension Educator for Marion County. In this position Margo will provide overall leadership to the county 4-H program including; youth clubs, camps, school programs, Cloverbuds and assistance with the Marion County Fair and junior fair activities.

Margo has been a very strong contributor to OABA’s success over the last three years and I appreciate all her efforts. While I’m sorry to see Margo’s departure from the Ohio AgriBusiness Association, I hope you join me in congratulating her on this great new career opportunity.

I’m pleased to share that Janice Welsheimer has agreed to help us out this winter with our many events and activities. Janice has a longstanding relationship with us here at OABA and has worked in the agribusiness industry for her entire career. Janice will be helping us on a part-time basis through the first quarter of 2017. You will likely see her at our events and activities this winter, especially our Industry Conference. Please help me in welcoming her and share a thank you for her assistance this winter.

-Chris
