Demos Global Group, Inc. is Named Accredited Certification Body for FSMA
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing the accreditation of an additional certification body under the FDA’s Accredited Third-Party Certification Program, established as part of the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.
The International Accreditation Service (IAS) has accredited Demos Global Group, Inc. for the following scope: Preventive Controls for Human Food (PCHF). This accreditation gives Demos Global Group, Inc. the authority to conduct food safety audits and issue food and facility certifications under FDA’s Accredited Third-Party Certification Program.
Importers may use certifications issued through this program to establish eligibility for participation in the Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP), which offers expedited review of food entering the United States.
To date, 11 certification bodies have been accredited under FDA’s Accredited Third-Party Certification Program.
