POSITION DESCRIPTION
The RSM/AM will work with and report to the V.P. of Sales and Marketing and work closely with the Marketing Director and Precision Ag Account Manager. The position is located remotely in the assigned region and requires travel within the region and occasional travel to trade/association events as well as company headquarters in Faribault, MN.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds and maintains business relationships with prospective and current customers
- Identifies prospects through a variety of methods including national/regional/local marketing efforts, referrals, online leads, and trade shows
- Collects and manages prospect/customer data and sales pipeline data through a CRM system
- Demonstrates SoilWarrior system in-field with a demonstrator system or full-size SoilWarrior
- Manages direct sale process with customers and responsible for closing sales
- Supports Precision Ag Retailer (PAR) program
- Leads regional events/collaborations such as field days, trade shows, University collaborations
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other assignments as needed
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working directly with ag customers, direct sales preferred
- Knowledge of soil fertility/fertilizer, tillage methods, precision agriculture
- Strong ag knowledge/background, good mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook email
- Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture-related field preferred
